Part# 08000145 - Workhorse Starter Asm (New)

Description:

Brand New Workhorse Starter for GM gas Engines in Workhorse Chassis.

Notice:

Due to variances in heat shield mounting, we include the appropriate heat shield for this starter at no extra cost. You will still have to tap the holes for the starter heat shield screws. Tap size is M4 x 0.7.

Installation Procedure

Install the starter heat shield, nut and bolts if necessary.

Tighten

D Tighten the starter heat shield bolts to 3 N@m (35 lb in).

D Tighten the starter heat shield nut to 5 N@m (44 lb in).
Install the starter motor bolts.

Tighten the starter motor bolts to 50 N@m (37 lb ft).
Install the engine harness to the starter.
Install the engine harness nut.

Tighten

Tighten the engine harness nut to 2 N@m (18 lb in).
Install the positive cable to the starter.
Install the positive cable nut.

Tighten

Tighten the positive cable nut to 10 N@m (89 lb in).
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the negative battery cable.
